We got some answers, but not nearly in the way we expected or wanted...
We've been wanting to buy a house, and we did some looking, and found one that we really liked. Well, we fasted and prayed about it this weekend, and this morning we got our answer....
Travis lost his job.
I mean, a simple "no you shouldn't buy a house," would suffice. But Heavenly Father has his own ways of letting us know who's in charge.
Yes, we are devastated. Yes, we cried. No, we don't know exactly what we're going to do.
But we do know that everything will work out the way it's supposed to. We are so blessed. We feel like this is a blessing in disguise, and that it just means that there is something even better for us around the corner. Travis can do whatever he wants, and we are both excited about that. Travis has been thinking that he wants to do something else, but he might not have had the guts to go for it. So now, this forces him to just go for his dreams, and I'm proud of him for that.
I love you Travis!
Everything is ok.

I am so sorry - life is rough sometimes. We have gone through times where Doug as not had work and it is tough but we got through it and you guys will too. Good luck to whatever Travis wants to do.
It is a good thing we have a Heavely Father who is watching over us and knows our every thought and struggle. What a great testimony of faith you have! You're amazing! You are in our prayers.
I think "Gough" is latin/french/german WHATEVER for Layoff----I'm mean David has a job now---not in his field, and very underpaid. . .but I guess it's a job. . .I just wish we would have lucked out in the house dept---we bought a house when we moved in TX, and david lost that job 15 months later (and we had bought a brand new car just one week before the layoff---didn't see that coming)---Good luck--and follow our blog, jdgoughfam.blogspot.com
I'm so sorry. I'm impressed at your optimism in the face of this trial. It's so hard and scary right now - but actually it's a good time to be a student. Ride the wave of things while learning more. What is he looking into doing?
You guys have had quite the year. You're in my prayers.
(I'm assuming school anyway, maybe something else, but whatever it is, good luck.)
I've known you both long enough that I've seen you battle trials before, and I know you can rise above again. You're such a strong and righteous family that I know the Lord will bless you with another amazing opportunity around the corner. Good luck with everything! We'll be praying for you.
I'm really sorry. I hope he finds something else he loves. You guys have such faith and such positive attitudes. It's great. we'll say a prayer for you.
Jared and I have been through the job loss scene. We had just bought Jared $300.00 worth of dress clothes for his job two days before he was laid off. We cried, stressed and worried, but Jared found a great job with good benefits and job security. Jared was given a blessing right after losing his job that said he would find a job that he would be able to retire with. He found that job and loves it. My prayers are with you guys. It is a hard time but things will get better. Good luck to you. I'm excited to hear what Travis decides to do.
Sorry to hear that Travis lost his job. I am glad that you are keeping such a positive attitude about it. We will keep you in our prayers and hope that everything works out for the best.
