Well since this is my journal and scrapbook, and will print it all out into a blog book, I can't just skip over the summer! So here goes...
Elora and Max LOVE to paint and have been doing it a lot this summer. Elora especially loves any kind of art activities... (Wonder where she got that from?) But yeah, she frequently (multiple times everyday!) gets out paper and crayons by herself to draw to her heart's content!
Here is Travis watching one of the USA world cup games, he was just a little excited/nervous. I swear he watched almost every single world cup soccer game, I got quite sick of it...
One week in June, Grandma and Grandpa Gough came up to visit. We went out to dinner at Golden Corral and there was a balloon maker there, he made some really cool hats for the kids.
Elora wouldn't pose for a picture with hers on, so Daddy did it...
There was a discount day for teachers at Lagoon in June, so Travis and I went on an awesome date! So here's Travis riding the Samurai which I would NOT ride... ) I get sick on the spinnie-round-in circle rides...
Ugh... looking at this picture just makes me sick to my stomach... he went round and round and in every which direction...
Riding the merry go ride... He looks like a little kid...
Trying on hats at the gift store... Nice hair...
We brought home prizes for the kids, they were just a little bit excited...
(Ignore the clothes in the background...)
One day we decided to hike up Ensign Peak, I had never been there before, and it's really a nice small hike.
I swear we had to stop every ten steps, because the kids would say that they're tired and the needed a drink... It was slow-going, but still fun!
LOVE the views of the Salt Lake Valley...
After Ensign Peak that day, we decided to head right over to This is the Place monument and have lunch, and just enjoy the monument...
For Father's Day, the kids got Travis a Mater-fishing game, and little green men. They had so much fun with them!
Did I say that I loved having Travis home for the summer? We got to do so many fun things! Looking forward to next summer where we'll have so many other new adventures! But of course, we are enjoying the adventures of Fall and Halloween activities right now... I LOVE this time of year!
