Wahoo!!!

We are so blessed!

We just found out that Travis got a new job that will be very nice!

So, to sum it all up....

We knew we were supposed to move to St. George, so we moved into a place that was a great deal (But with some complaints that we didn't find out about until after we moved in). Then two weeks later, found out that it's getting foreclosed and we have to move out. So we found a very nice place that's bigger and better for an awesome deal. It's a 3 bedroom town-home with a one car garage in our old ward, so we already have lots of friends, and plus, it's just an AWESOME ward. And we'll be living next door to a friend of mine. So there is big blessing number one-I'm so excited to move in!


So then, Travis moves down after graduation, and starts his new job at Midas. Not at all what he expected... The pay is worse than we thought it was going to be, not a good work environment, and plus Travis remembered why he prefers dealerships over independent shops. Just a lot of things that made Travis (and me) not happy with his new job. So... last Wednesday, the manager of the Stephen Wade Toyota repair shop called and wanted to know if Travis was still looking for job... yes! (Well... not still, but again looking for a job) So he interviewed with him, and yesterday we found out that he got the job!! With better pay than he was getting in Ogden and at Midas(Not hard to do on that one...) And better benefits(dealership usually always have better benefits) with health insurance for the whole family!! Needless to say that we are excited! So there is big blessing number two.

And here is another interesting twist to the story... Two weeks after Travis started working in St. George, we found out that Chrysler/Dodge is shutting down a bunch of franchises, and Hinckley Dodge in Ogden (Where Travis used to work)is one of them. We found out that they laid off 6 people from the service and parts department so they can keep the service deparment open... at least for a while... If we were still in Ogden, Travis for sure would've been one of those people who would've got laid off. So we are very blessed to have moved beforehand and not had any period of time with no job and income, phew! So there is big blessing number three!

And of course, we have many more blessings. But we know for sure that we are where we need to be, and where we are supposed to be. Things might not work out the way you expect, but if you are faithful, they always work out in the way that's best! We are so happy! WAHOO!!!!

How It's "Supposed" To Turn Out...

Lately, I've been a little disappointed that everything is not turning out how they were "supposed" to... I thought I had it all figured out, but apparently Heavenly Father has other plans for us... And it's all part of the "Bigger Plan." Read more about that on Nienie's blog here. (If you haven't ever read her blog, you really should, it's inspiring. She's a Mormon blogger that got in an airplane accident, and is still recovering, and blogs about it all.)

I know my problems are small compared to many. But we're all just trying to figure out this life of ours, and whatever problems or trials come, we can get through, and learn what we should do about it.

And, yes Katie, we have found a new place to live that we love! I'll tell you all about it later. But we're moving in on Memorial Day. (We have to be out of our current place before the 28th.)

Tha Saga Continues...

No, my internet and phone isn't up yet...


...Because I told them not to come and not to put in a new phone line...



.....Because I have to move.



On Monday I got a letter saying that the owner of our apartment building is getting foreclosed on, and we have to vacate the premises by May 28th.


Lovely, eh?



I thought so too....



We have a property management manage our apartments, and I called them the next morning, and they had NO IDEA!



So, needless to say, we're all a little angry. But if you think about it, it's actually quite comical...



So.... we get to move again. Which is good and bad. Good because I had some complaints about the place we were living in. Bad because we have to look for another place, and move all of our stuff AGAIN.


So anyway... I don't know when I'll ever be able to be connected to the internet from my home computer again and be able to put pictures up. But when I do, you'll be sure to get your blog feast I promised a while ago...

Technical Difficulties...

I promised a blog feast, but we are having technical difficulties. My internet decided not to work, but have no fear, it should be up and running next week, key word...."should."

So, I will get to that blog feast I was talking about, as soon as I can.

My Parents Were In Town...

Alright, get ready for a blog feast, because we're playing a little blog catch up.....


On Saturday, March 28th, we went and picked up my parents from the airport. They flew in from Virginia! And we waited for them at the foot of the stairs at the airport while Elora held up a little sign that said, "Grandma and Grandpa." Just to make sure they knew where to go, of course. :)


That night, the kids wanted Grandma to read to them....On that Sunday, of course, we celebrated my birthday, but we didn't get any birthday pictures.... What a sorry excuse for a blogger I am... We did go to the Garcia's house, so they could meet my parents. And also so I could have a DELICIOUS meal of chicken mole'. YUM! I also got myself some Costco "Death by Chocolate" cake. DOUBLE YUM! Scott and Jen also came down for the occasion, and Jen looked ready to pop, because she was 9 months pregnant. The next day, my Dad went to a business conference in Salt Lake. And my Mom spent some time finishing making her gifts for her grand-kids. We also spent some time doing some shopping together like we used to do.


Here she is wearing Alisa's tutu on her head, silly Grandma.....
She made Elora an apron that she has practically wanted to wear EVERYDAY since...
And for Max's birthday coming up, she made him a "Super Max" cape....
On Tuesday morning, Grandma "S" made cookies with the kids so Elora could use her new apron...
We were watching Kalissa while Jen went to a doctor's appointment, so we took the kids to the Treehouse Childrens Museum. And of course they loved it! Grandma also thought it was a very neat place to go to. Here is Elora and Kalissa having a tea party...Tuesday night, we took my Mom to Salt Lake to meet up with my Dad and Joe and Kimberly, and had a very nice dinner at P.F. Changs. Mmmmm. Then Mom and Dad went to Joe and Kimberly's house in Provo. Jen had her baby on Wednesday, and they named her Lilia after my Grandma "S." So, then Joe and Kimberly brought my parents up to Tremonton where Scott and Jen live on Friday, and my Mom made homemade spring rolls and Thai chicken satay with peanut sauce. (My favorite meal EVER!)

Too bad Christina wasn't there.And here is the tired new Dad and silly Kalissa and new baby, Lilia.We had a lot of fun spending time together with everyone in the family except Christina. But then it was time to go home. Mom and Dad stayed at Scott and Jen's house until Tuesday morning. We did go back up to Tremonton on Sunday to bring them a lasagna dinner and see Mom and Dad one last time. It was pretty sad to leave. We sure did have a fun time, and hopefully we'll see them again someday soon...

Elora's Conversation...

I just gotta write this down while it's fresh in my mind:

"Oh, you wanna talk to Mommy?"...
"Mommy's sleeping right now, what's your name?"...
"Te-po... Teepo?"...
"Oh, ok. Are you 3 or 4?"....
"3?"...
"Oh, ok. Are you big or little?"...

"Oh, ok. Ok, I need to go now."...
"Ok, bye."...
