One day while we were in Virginia, Mom offered to watch the kids so we could go explore one of Travis' old mission areas in Luray, VA. It was a really nice date for us, and we had a blast. We got to go to the Luray caverns, which is a place that Travis had a chance to go when he was on his mission.
These caverns were really cool with lots of awesome formations...
What you can't see very well on the bottom is a very shallow pool of water, so the ceiling was reflected in the water, very cool!
Some formations were in the middle of the walk-way.
The tallest stalagtite and stalagmite together...
There's a car museum right next to the entrance to the caves, they had some very cool cars...
We stopped for a photo in front of the church that had been built after Travis got off his mission...
We also visited the branch president in the area that was still the branch president even since Travis was on his mission. We had to call several times, because Travis got lost... He couldn't remember how to get to his house....

How awesome to go back to Trav's old stomping grounds of his mission. I loved being able to meet the people Wade served in France. They instantly love you because they loved your husband.
It sounds like the whole trip was so fun! (Christina, I love ducks, too!)
